Traceability right where supplies are used.

ESAAB LabPoint is the point-of-use station: a touchscreen with a barcode reader that checks stock and records consumption at the exact place where work happens. Co-developed with Siemens Healthineers.

The problem

Consumption that isn't recorded on the spot is lost. LabPoint puts a smart station at the point of use — the lab section, the room, the bench — so recording what's consumed is as simple as scanning a code. Stock is deducted in real time and traceability reaches the last movement, without passing through a spreadsheet.

Capabilities

What ESAAB LabPoint does

01

Scan-to-record

Consuming is scanning a code. No forms, no typing, no friction for the clinical team.

02

Stock and location lookup

Staff see supply availability and location without calling the warehouse.

03

Real-time deduction

Every consumption updates stock instantly across the whole platform.

04

Per-user traceability

Who consumed what and when, recorded at the point of use.

05

Hardware ready to operate

Touchscreen and reader designed for the clinical environment.

06

Connected to SmartLab

Works alongside ESAAB SmartLab as its field capture point.
